Η Βρετανική Vogue κάνει "Reset" στο τεύχος του Αυγούστου με 14 εκπληκτικές φωτογραφίες

Η Βρετανική Vogue προχώρησε ένα ευφυέστατο νέο project με τίτλο “Reset”. Με αφορμή όλα τα γεγονότα που έχουν ταλανίσει τον πλανήτη το 2020 και πιθανότατα, θα συνεχίζουν να επηρεάζουν τον πλανήτη αρνητικά, όπως είναι ο κορωνοϊός, η British Vogue ξεκίνησε το special project “Reset” που ξεκινάει με 14 covers από τους/τις φωτογράφους από τη Μεγάλη Βρετανία.

Τα covers περιλαμβάνουν μερικά τοπία από όλη τη χώρα, τα οποία όλα έχουν αναφορές στον πλανήτη, ο οποίος σύμφωνα με τη Vogue αποτελεί τον πυρήνα των πάντων.

#TimWalker’s cover image of the small white blossoms pushing through a grey concrete wall was taken at his home in Hackney in April. “It is a response to a text I was sent by the 83-year-old Satish Kumar, editor of Resurgence magazine, which deals with environmental issues.” The powerful image is one of 14 special covers for the “reset” series for #BritishVogue’s August 2020 issue. In the August 2020 issue of #BritishVogue, some of Britain’s greatest living image makers have created works that reflect the natural world during this time of reset. The original photographs and paintings point to a shared sense that nature has become ever more irresistible, especially for those in the city. #TimWalker’s still life, titled “Rose, clover, daffodils and thistle” depicts “detritus collected locally in Hackney and arranged to represent nature’s forever source of beauty,” as Walker puts it. For the August 2020 issue, #BritishVogue asked some of Britain’s most acclaimed photographers and artists to turn to the natural world and share their take on the idea of “reset”. Submitting imagery of nature in all its glory from around the UK, the series of 14 special covers spans #DavidHockney’s ‘Wheat field near Fridaythorpe’ artwork (pictured), #NadineIjewere’s breathtaking image of the Isle of Skye, as well as striking urban landscapes from #TimWalker and #JuergenTeller. Later in the year, an auction of original prints, kindly donated by the artists, will be held in aid of Covid-19 relief charities.
