Όσκαρ 2024: Η λίστα με τις ταινίες που διεκδικούν υποψηφιότητα στην κατηγορία Καλύτερης Ταινίας

Τα Όσκαρ 2024 είναι μόλις τρεις μήνες μακριά, ενώ η σεζόν των μεγάλων βραβείων έχει ξεκινήσει και επίσημα μετά την τελετή απονομής των Χρυσών Σφαιρών 2024. Τώρα, έγιναν γνωστές οι 321 ταινίες οι οποίες διεκδικούν μία υποψηφιότητα στα βραβεία της Αμερικανικής Ακαδημίας Κινηματογράφου, ενώ από αυτές μόλις 265 ταινίες μπορούν να επιλεγούν για την κατηγορία Καλύτερης Ταινίας.

Η ανακοίνωση έγινε τη Δευτέρα (8/1) από την Ακαδημία Κινηματογραφικών Τεχνών και Επιστημών, η οποία δημοσίευσε την ετήσια «λίστα υπενθύμισης» για τα μέλη.

Για να είναι μπορούν να διεκδικήσουν μία υποψηφιότητα στις γενικές κατηγορίες στα Όσκαρ 2024, οι ταινίες -διάρκεια προβολής άνω των 40 λεπτών- πρέπει να έχουν προβληθεί σε κινηματογραφικές αίθουσες σε τουλάχιστον μία από τις ακόλουθες περιοχές: Los Angeles County, πόλη της Νέας Υόρκης, Σικάγο, Ιλινόις, Μαϊάμι, Φλόριντα, Ατλάντα και Τζόρτζια, μεταξύ 1ης Ιανουαρίου 2023 και 31 Δεκεμβρίου 2023. Επιπλέον, πρέπει να έχουν ολοκληρώσει μια ελάχιστη σειρά προβολών επτά συνεχόμενων ημερών στις ίδιες αίθουσες.

Για να μπορούν να επιλεγούν ως υποψήφιες στην κατηγορία Καλύτερης Ταινίας συγκεκριμένα, οι ταινίες πρέπει να είναι κατάλληλες για τη γενική συμμετοχή και να έχουν «υποβάλει μια εμπιστευτική φόρμα συμμετοχής για την Εκπροσώπηση της Ακαδημίας και τα Πρότυπα Ένταξης». Επιπλέον, η ταινία πρέπει να πληροί δύο από τα τέσσερα πρότυπα που απαιτούνται, εκτός από την προβολή τους σε κινηματογραφικές αίθουσες.

Η ψηφοφορία των υποψηφιοτήτων για τα Όσκαρ 2024 ξεκινά στις 11 Ιανουαρίου και ολοκληρώνεται στις 16 Ιανουαρίου. Οι υποψηφιότητες θα ανακοινωθούν στις 23 Ιανουαρίου. Τα 96α Όσκαρ θα διεξαχθούν στις 10 Μαρτίου στο Dolby Theatre στο Ovation Hollywood και θα μεταδοθούν ζωντανά στο ABC.
