20 φωτογραφίες που φανερώνουν την ατελείωτη δύναμη της φύσης

Το τσουνάμι που έπληξε την Ιαπωνική πόλη Miyako το Μάρτιο του 2011, αποθανατίστηκε σε φωτογραφικά πλάνα τα οποία έκαναν το γύρο των μέσων μαζικής ενημέρωσης και μετέδωσαν το παγκόσμιο μήνυμα ότι η φύση έχει μια αξεπέραστη δύναμη και επιρροή πάνω στα πράγματα.

Τα κύματα του τσουνάμι, οι ηφαιστειακές εκρήξεις, τα δέντρα, οι καταρράκτες, οι κυψέλες στους πιο ασυνήθιστους σχηματισμούς, όλα τους είναι σχετικά με την παντοδυναμία της μητέρα φύσης.

I think many of you might have seen this picture already, and I really like it. While the storm was heading right on top of us the sunlight started literally burning the clouds away. As it moved into dryer air, all the clouds started falling apart, while still remaining the circle-like shape. This was as crazy as it gets, both in terms of colour as in terms of cloud formation. I travelled nearly 6,000 miles to swim with whales (which was amazing), but only had to drive 5 minutes to see some of the best whale action ever. The humpback whale show has still been going strong in Monterey Bay as they have been breaching and lunge feeding constantly. The other evening, I counted around 350+ breaches from over 10 different whales. This will never not be incredible.

Der Ta Phrom Tempel ist auf jeden Fall der surrealste in Angkor. Man fühlt sich wie Indiana Jones oder halt wie Lara Croft. Der Film Tomb Raider mit Angelina Jolie wurde teilweise in diesem Tempel, der zu großen Teilen vom Dschungel zurückerobert wurde, gedreht, weshalb er auch Tomb Raider Tempel genannt wird. Kurz nach unserem Besuch haben wir uns den Film angeguckt und beide festgestellt, dass er ohne Angelina Jolie echt ein Schrottfilm wäre…?
