We’re looking for a Marketing and Communications Manager to join the Zone01 Athens’s team and help build a revolutionary new free-to-access, diversity, equity and inclusion-focused coding school from the ground up. 

The Role

Reporting to the CEO and working regularly with the Head of Ops regarding student-related activity, the Marketing and Communications Manager will be a generalist marketer excited to grow the business’s marketing function, engaging with prospective and current students and spreading 01 Network’s message to relevant audiences.

This will include:

• Leading on Zone01 Athens marketing efforts, e.g., social media, copywriting, press releases and press engagement and execution.
• Working directly with marketing partners, e.g., agencies and freelancers, liaising between the school operations team and external stakeholders.
• Planning and executing events with the operations and community team to:
• • lead student acquisition and retention initiatives, e.g., promoting and supporting the operation of open days, hackathons and other campus activities; and
  • showcase our coding institute to the wider ecosystem. 
• Working with:
• • the Head of Operations on student on-boarding, tracking diversity metrics, and;
  • corporate and community partners, e.g., helping with business development, partner acquisition and account management,
  • integrating the marketing function into all business processes.
• Analysing and reporting the impact of different marketing activities and campaigns on student acquisition, retention and sentiment and making data-driven recommendations to improve future results. 
• Conducting market research and creating an integrated marketing strategy for the entire student journey from awareness to brand advocacy. 

Requirements

As the Marketing Manager, you will possess:

• Relevant marketing experience either leading or supporting within a marketing function covering social media, PR, content creation and distribution, events, etc.
• Strong understanding of different marketing channels and their impact. e.g.: (social media, email marketing and SEO)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Greek and English, with the ability to create content relatable to the target market based on research findings and observations. 
• Project management skills with the ability to plan and organise a brand / company launch.
• Strong presentation design and layout skills
• Ability to work with all levels of staff across the organisation
• Sensitive and efficient stakeholder management and reporting skills
• A passion for tackling inequality in the tech sector and broader society
• Proactive, resourceful and entrepreneurial skills - a collaborative approach where you’re comfortable rolling up your sleeves and getting into whatever needs to be done
• Demonstrable interest in the tech and/or education sectors would be preferable
